Distributing Content 4 Times Per Day On 7 Platforms
Our process to post 4x per day on 7 platforms
I Press Post Nearly 30 Times A Day…This Is Our Process To Distribute Content 3-4 Times A Day On 7 Platforms 📲
Every day from Monday to Sunday, I will send a text to Adam and Thomas (our editor/videographer) of what is on our schedule for the day.
This allows all of us to be able to check in on what we have done so far today and what still needs to be made.
The text will look like this:
Original content: Adam’s personal brand content/ college football content
Ads: Any brand partnerships we have going live or that need to be edited today
Next up: podcast short form, mid form, or that a podcast is going live
Misc: this could be a quote graphic, promotion of Adam’s newsletter, or anything else that doesn’t fall in the three categories above
From this text, we try to follow a simple rule.
Get as much content to Adam to approve as quickly as possible.
Since we put out so much volume as a three-person team getting feedback and changes to Thomas from both Adam and me is key.
The feedback loop goes like this:
Thomas uploads the video for feedback from me to our Basecamp
I give grammar feedback and sometimes edits to assets used in the video
Thomas re-uploads with those changes and I send the final version to Adam for approval along with a caption for the video
95% of the time Adam approves the video and will either approve the caption I sent or send one back he will write.
If he does have feedback on the video I pass that to Thomas and he will fix it and then upload it again to Basecamp
We use Basecamp because it helps us keep the videos high quality and it is where our content schedule is
Once the final version is done and approved by Adam I post it to his 7 social platforms
TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads
Our posting schedule:
When distributing content we try to post at this cadence
11 am
1-2 pm
3-4 pm
7-8 pm
This schedule is based on analytics we see from these platforms that say when Adam’s audience is most active - we try to post 10-15 minutes before that so when they are loading up the app it is within the first 2-3 posts they see.
Now of course some days we cannot follow this schedule due to something popping up, travel schedule, editing a video that may take a bit longer, etc.
So when those days happen our focus shifts to one thing.
Get as much content out as possible no matter what.
Hope this email helps in your creation process.
As always, appreciate you reading this far.
