Launching An Agency Then Pivoting Less Than 2 Months Later
A Lesson On Knowing When To Lock In
Adam Breneman And I Launched A Creative Agency 2 Months Ago… Now Were Pivoting
How/ Why We Decided To Start An Agency
One of the most asked questions Adam gets is “who edits your videos?” The answer is Thomas Vehige, the best in the game.
But, we have a great process for creating Adam’s content and think we can provide a solutions to brands, businesses, and creators that need short form videos. After all, it’s 2024 if short form videos aren’t in your marketing strategy what are you doing?!?
What Happened / Lock In
After launching this agency, we quickly realized after just 3 weeks that splitting my time on building both this agency and Adam’s personal brand wouldn’t be the best move going forward, for one key reason.
My focus on Adam’s personal brand has been my main role for 2 years and we’ve scaled tremendously since then, in volume of content, quality of content and in revenue so why stop what’s working?
But, timing is a strange thing.
Instead of shutting down the agency completely, we merged with a new agency, Arvelo Media.
This allows us to become a full service social media agency and keep current clients onboard.
Oh and I forgot to mention, Grant (Adam’s brother) is the CEO of Arvelo media, he’s a beast at operating and is going to take it to the moon.
My Role with Arvelo Media / What’s Next
Social Media Consulting: Yes, I may not have the biggest following on social media, but I still….
Use these platforms 5-6 hours per day
Post on them 4-5 times per day
Helped build a following of over 500k across 7 platforms
I can still bring value to the agency by knowing what practices are working best on social media (especially Instagram, TikTok, and X)
Client Relationships: We still had a few great clients at Great Hook Creative and they’re not going anywhere. They’re my guys and we’re gonna continue to build their brands for a LONG time.
Forward this to someone who you think would get value/ have interest in this newsletter, it’d be greatly appreciated!
